driveline couplers- blaster

anyone ever seen the coupler not to be "true"?or the threaded parts to be off?
i have a friend who is on his 5th set of shafts in his 95 blaster what a pita
i have shimmed it perfectly but could the be off?
thanks
jason

has he change the carrier bearing and carrier, they wear out also giving the short shaft to much play

I also had an old square that was so beat up the same thing would happen, I think the hull became weak and had to much flex, it was in very bad shape, switching hulls sold that problem

thanks tom but the bearing /carrier are fine
he does have some wear on the bottom of the hull in front of the intake grate
i have told him of everything i could think of to help correct the problem
firewall flexing
couplers being off
free reving motor while in the air .. only to slam it with water upon landing
shimming as long as the couplers are true is spot on!
he get about 1 years use per sub/drive shaft
the primary use is gulf wave jumping.
