Drive Shaft Seal Question

I’ve got a stupid question; is there some kind of seal where the drive shaft enters the hull? It had a big blob of 3M-5200 that came lose in that area and the Parts Manual does not have any pictures other than the bearing housing and pump assembly seals. The manual shows an extra seal at the end of the bearing housing, Part No. 93101-25M56, and I’m not sure if this part fits the bearing housing or fits into the hull on a 03 SuperJet.

But that's just for sealing the splined sectin free of water. It doesn't keep water out of the hull.

Looking at the drive shaft at the splined section, it is a larger diameter than the drive shaft diameter so I don’t think there is a seal in this area even though there is a wear mark on the shaft in this spot. I guess I’ll just put some Teflon tape around the shaft and seal up the hole with 3M-5200.

I hope my new impeller from Impro’s works well; it’s a custom Solas Concord 13/18 pitch cut back 3mm. It seems to weigh a lot less than the Scat-Trak Swirl 13/18 pitch, 2.5 lbs. compared to the 1-7/8 lbs for the Solas Impeller.
