the lowes will work much better than that 24/7 scupper....
just re-sell the 24/7

Yo, slutty.
I hear what you are preaching but a picture or part number would help.

I'll go to Lowes later on tonight and look into that one.
I need an excuse to get out anyway plus if I'm lucky I might get blown by Ernesto

There is a part number under that picture.

Get the largest diameter sump pump check valve you can find.

That was the largest one they had and it was the last one in that size.
It's a 2" and it does have a rubber flapper with a plastic disc on it for rigidity.

Got a ton of fittings, cleaner and glue.
All I need now is just some thin wall pipe (I have a ton of sch-80 but that stuff is heavy).

Mr Slutty

sweet.... let me know if ya need any more info
I'll pm ya my new number..:sneaky:

Chris at 24-7 told me that you need the one from home depot or lowes and the external scupper because with just the one from home depot the pressure from water when landing a jump with the tail first will blow out the rubber flapper in the home depot valve.
I put both on and it does not leak -
make sure you install the flapper the right way down!

I ran mine in the surf for two days without breakage. That's not saying much.
But I regularly jump purdy good sized wakes on flatwater (6+ ft of air) with tail landings - no problems as of yet.

any insight here from other people who just run the home depot valve?

im curious to see how they hold up in the surf.

It's got the yamaslut seal of approval and that's all I need.

I was lucky enough to see what they can do live, if that valve had the slightest flaw they would have found it.

Did that hurt at all when you landed it? It looks like a major knee killer. Awesome pic though!

Doug

nah.... if I land pretty straight, everything is usually ok... it's those landings after drifting a bit off kilter that hurt...
