A few years ago i built up a carbon/kevlar footrocket as my first flat water ski, I had a lot of fun on it but was always planning a future upgrade. Found it really hard choosing a hull, especially with our low $$ it's only getting more expensive. My budget could only really cover a second hand hull. After a few months of looking the havoc caught my eye. After a lot of debating an offer was accepted and 6weeks later it arrived. Thought I would share the build for anyone interested.

Extended my worxs 242 today and assembled the pump.
I put new seals in but reused the bearings that came out as they were in good condition still. However the shaft is firm when Rotating by hand and after the prop is done up its even firmer. Is that common or is there a problem with my assembly? I used the freeze and heat method to assemble, and atf instead of grease to lubricant.

usually a new pump build is stiffer to turn because of the fresh seals should be fine as long as it does't vary when you spin it by hand or make any strange noise I wouldn't be too worried
Trying to run the steering and trim cables, but they just seem too long with the Comp length pole! Pre 08 cable in use.
Currently running it under the midshaft, up between exhaust side motor mounts, along side of hull the up into the breather tube. It works but it's too close for comfort to bed plate bolt at the back and angle going up into the pole is very sharp.
Anyone who has owned a havoc or similar willing to chime in? Only other way I see is up and over the carbs/water box then under pipe and up?

Few pics of the cable routing, only way i could get them to clear the pipe. Waterbox mounted on a foam block up as high as I could, pipe is pretty tight in this hull. Hopefully I have no water backflow issue if I side mount the ski aswell. And the Ebox mount.
Last night she fired up for the first time. Motor is Dasa 10mm on 95mm bore as of now. New bottom end and top end. Was my first full rebuild so bit nervous firing it up but all is good. Just running stock ignition for break in and until I sort a issue out with my ts2 TL
