It's been two weeks, I couldn't take it any longer. I went out riding today, but I took it easy.

The knee is actually feeling quite a bit better. Twisting my leg in any way still hurts and it gets pretty sore overnight.
I did a 2 hour hike with the kids today and went riding for an hour. I feel fine. :bigok:

and just think...everyone is always bad worried about twisting an ankle when locked into footholds. Not the case at all. Hopefully all is better by now though.

It's still sore, especially at night when it's immobilized.
I'm back to riding and some running, though - without too much trouble. Haven't hopped back on the bike yet. It's been too hot, damn near 100 degrees every day.

I remember feeling that way (right before I went out and broke myself up a second time for it all). Pretty photo, and glad you are feeling better, but I would take it easy if you. My standard x-rays didn’t show a thing, and so it took over a month to learn things were pretty messed up (and I went to “the best”). With the Ibp ((dependent upon medical history and even if combining with narcs), you should be fine with the 800mg daily, but you have to keep it up to build and then maintain the level within your system, or it does little good. My grandmother took that level (with food) daily for four years and had no issues, but everyone is different.

I've actually stopped the ibuprofen altogether. I am too scatterbrained to remember taking it.
I am back to running 3.8 miles per day (did 5.5 today!), biking about 17 miles, and riding on the weekends.
My knee still gets sore at night when it's immobilized, but even that is slowly getting better.

It still hurts :(
After a weekend of riding, it still gets sore and I have a hard time squatting.

I thought men stood! :silly:

Matt, I began taking 800mg of IBP three days ago for some painful water build-up on my left knee; it is helping me tremendously. The inflammation is subsiding, so the pain is as well, thankfully. I was told to do it 17 years ago when the same occurred, and I did not, stubbornly continuing on hardcore with everything I knew; I ended up having my knee tapped and in a wheelchair for six months. Just get one of these to help you remember to take them, and if that is not enough, set a reminder on your cell phone as well:
