I know not to let go. In my case, I was too tired and couldn't hold on! Even with a full face helmet, the handlebars found a way to my face during a back flip!

...the best part of the story is I went home and cleaned my ski before I went to the ER.

That looks familiar though lol - almost exactly same spot AND through my full face DH helmet (2 years ago)
From now on, im having a hydroturf block on steering system/chinpad to take the worst hit, if im gonna be that un lucky again.
