So I sold a ski to a guy in Canada a few weeks ago for the ski plus shipping. He sends me the cash just for the ski and no shipping cause he and I were both still looking at shipping quotes. After I sent him quotes he doesn't respond. Since then about 2 o so weeks pass and I have sent him many email and still no response.
What to do???

All you really can do is keep trying to contact him and don't use the money for anything. Maybe the guy is on a business trip or maybe the worst happened and he is no longer with us. (Hate to say it) I would see if you can find anymore contacts for him through the internet. Once it gets to a month then I would say it was time to really start to worry and start looking for other options. Just make sure you keep everything on file just in case you have to take anything to court then you can back everything up with paper work.

He could also have had a family emergency. If you have a kid in the hospital, or any close family member, things like skis move quickly to the bottom of your priority list. If he had always responded to you and has sent you the money in good faith (waiting for a shipping quote), my guess is that something serious is on his plate. If you're in a finanical pinch, I'd either PayPal the money back to him (if it was done that way) or send him a check, and then proceed with the sell to someone else. If it doesn't put you in a bind, I'd hold on for two or three more weeks and then send the money if I hadn't heard anything. Obvisoulsy, don't mail cash back to him.

I agree with Peter. Give it a few more days and then return the check via certified mail, return receipt. Deducting postage is up to you. Shipping a ski is not cheap and I certainly wouldn't be interested in eating that cost.

He is in Saskatoon, SK. Zipcode s7k8a1.
I planned on giving him another 2 weeks and I still nothing I was going to send him his cash back. Sucks cause he mailed cash money to me, didn't have a paypal or anything

just leave the ski there and keep the cash , he has paid for it and a deal was done , use the money for what you want .

send him a curtsy email once a week until he responds , just leave the ski there with a cover on it until he sends you
the money to ship it

I can't store it for a unlimited amount of time. It's sitting at the shop I work at and bossman is wanting it gone.
Is it that rude to send the guy his money back and sell it to someone else if he doesn't respond in 2 weeks?

No its not rude. Your trying to do the right thing but you cant hold on to the ski/sale forever. If you can wait, wait. But if not hold onto the money till you here from the guy then send it back if you have already sold the ski to someone else.
