I'm here in my garage - not working on my ski.

Isn't that great. When you can walk around it without needidng to do anything.

I can take it out and ride it tomorrow with 90% certainty that it will run like a top.

When you get all the stars lined up, I'd say sometimes you have about 6 months of bliss before something goes to $#!+.

Some people I know cant even make it six months.

It is nice knowing you dont have to fix something though:arms:

Yea, I was stoked to find a clean 96 limited SJ, that runs tits! I screwed in some boarding handles off of my blaster for some footholds, and all was good. Then I started throwing down some nasty stabs in 6-7ft of water, hit bottom and now I need 3 motor mounts. well, at least the hull is ok.

^^^^^Yea, actualy works great! I just scremed them in at a slant, and zip tied some turf around them, took about 10min. Foot holds are gona come this winter, right now I just want to slap some motor mounts in her, and let her eat!

I have been pretty lucky, Keith Head built my engine in '02, I have not had to touch it, other than changing plugs, until now, my daughter hydrolocked it and blew out a (or both) crank seals, so I am sending it back to him.

well, now that you went ahead and started a thread like this, you might want to bring some spare parts next time you go ride.

Perhaps. But I don't believe in luck. I've always thought - There's a fine line between bad luck and dumb Fuc<.

I've experienced a ton of issues in my life with jet skis and after I get popped once I build it to last the next time. (It also helps to have 3 of everything.)
