Does this jetting seem a little lean?

Thanks to a bunch of you, I've got my ski back together and running pretty good. :woot: Over the last week of tuning it seems that I am running a little leaner settings than most with similar set-ups, and still could go a bit leaner. Here's my set-up. 61X @84mm sport port w/ piston skirt left alone : Ada head 178 psi : 62t cases filled any heavily ported : dual 44's sbn's from 760 w/oem f/a : r&d intake stock reeds/cages : 6m6 electronics lightened flywheel 1mm advance, msd enhancer : dual cooled b-pipe limited 3/4 top 1/2 mid 1/4 bottom screw settings+ flow valve. As for jetting, I started with 117.5p 110m and 2.0ns for 24pop(checked w/ gauge). If i ran the adjusters all the way in it would start and run, but thats about it. I then dropped the pilots to 112.5 and the mains to 107.5 and it runs much better. However, after riding and tuning w/tinytach, I have the L screw @ 1/2 and the H@3/8 and was scared to go any leaner on the adjusters being a fresh engine and all. As far as riding, it has a pretty good damn hit and decent top end but surges if you keep it about 3000. Looking at the plugs they are a bit wet yet, but being a freshly built motor and still running 25:1 mix, I expect that. I wasn't going to change any settings until after today's ride. Why would my settings be quite a bit leaner than others? Did I do a little too much porting? What do you guys think will get this thing to dislocate my shoulders? besides a Lamey or TL:biggrin:

I would raise the popoff. Actually I would start with the stock jetting and work from there.

Not necessarily related, but I think you have way way too much water going into your headpipe. I would close the bottom and mid, and only open the top. That's how I run mine, and they don't need more than 2/3 out (top screw only).

you running your adjusters all of the way in for it to start makes me think that you had it too rich. you even said when you dropped the jets down it ran better. i am not sure about your popoff but is there a recommended setting you can set your screws to and try and jet from there starting with the pilot.
