Does this e-box look right to you?

Long story short... i bought a modified 97 sj this may. Went for a ride twice, everything seemed fine. Then my gf went riding on it and after about 30 minutes it died. Then it wouldn't start. This superjet has a problem of getting water inside the engine bay... i still don't know where it comes from, but i suspect the elctrical box got flooded because my gf didn't use the bilge pumps.

Sparkplugs looked fouled (black watery residue on front cylinder and white milky residue on rear cylinder) so i replaced them.... no change.
Still wouldn't start. Engine turns over fine, but there's no spark.

So i decided to open the electrical box and was pretty disgusted when i saw all the stuff inside completely messed up. Too many spliced wires, too much corrosion... i do not even know where to begin further testing.

Should i just replace this e-box with a new one? Please let me know what you think.

It may not be as bad as it looks. I would pull everything out, clean it up and spray it down good with some anti corrosion spray(fluid film works great).

If nothing is damaged, no need to replace it. Fix any rigged up wires of course.

If that RTV wont clean up, I would probably replace that gasket.

All your electrical connectors are corroded along with the box itself.

Also that's not a stock Yamaha starter solenoid and where is the rubber gasket?; that orange silicone is nasty stuff.

The rubber gasket is covered wih nasty silicone...
How do i contact john at JSS?
How much would it cost me to replace all this garbage with quality MSD stuff?

No idea where that starter solenoid came from.... i bough this ski without looking at the ebox unfortunately.

After cleaning up the ignition coil the sj wouldn't even crank over. So i just ripped out all the wiring and i'm going to send all this stuff to JSS to be redone.

It's pretty annoying to take things apart only to find out Mickey Mouse was modifying this SJ.
