does pro-tec pipe make good power on a 650sn?

If you are talking about the old skool S/S chamber version with the stinger pointing down...its a great little pipe for the 650. Doesn't have as hard of a hit down low but then again, we are dealing with a 650.

If you find one with the exhaust manifold (instead of using the OEM manifold) for cheap, go for it. I wouldn't pay more than $130 for it.

hmm

So it wouldnt really help the bottom end any?

How much punch do you think a 650 would have with a b-pipe and milled head and 13/16 skat?Do you think it would have a pretty good bottom end if tuned right?

That old pro-tec pipe for the 650 is okay but the bottom hit isn't the same if you had a 650 b-pipe. Bottom, mid and top will be improved on the pro-tec over stock.

If money isn't the issue, buy the 701 limited b-pipe for your 650. This way when you wake up and drop a 701 in your SN you are ready. Besides, b-pipes hold their value better than homes and I plan to stock up this winter.

the black proteck pipe on my sons boat makes great power.

pipe and ex manifold, protec head, makes 180 psi, 650 engine, its very strong for a 650

advanced timing and MSD enhancer and bored nozzle, and the bottom end hit is great ( for a 650)
