Super Jet Does anyone know if a Yamaha 500 Stator will work in a 701 61x engine?

My stator took a crap in my SuperJet and I have a 1989 Yamaha 500 WaveJammer that just ate a wrist pin and I'm thinking about just parting it out rather than fixing it. If I do this I was wondering if the stator off the Jammer would work on my SuperJet. Thanks for the responses. Kyle

no it will not. just look at the two, the 500 motor has a massive stator area compared to the 61x 701

They do not transfer.

I believe the lighting coil is all that's wrong with my 701 stator. Any idea if I pulled the lighting cool off the 500 stator if it would work om the 61x? Thanks, Kyle

Pick up a 61x stator I got one for 75 bucks last week... Yamaha 650, 701 and 760 stators fit in the cases all the same but electronics are different

The Yamaha 500 CDI? I bought it for 275 plus shipping and I used it twice before the ski ate a wrist pin. 220$ shipped to you? PM me if interested.

760 stators are not the same as a 61x or 62t.
