Looks like some kind of sealant maybe? It's around all the girdle studs, but is kind splattered/spread out around one of them big time as shown in pic. Retorque maybe??

My old motor did that. I kept thinking there is a crack in it. But I think it is just crap from the stainless girdle stud and the cylinders......... corrosion.

I use 1211 around the studs to try and keep water out of the thread area but never seen it come out like that. If it did come out Maybe spray a corrosion prevented down in there. You could retorque the girdle nuts too just to make sure cyl isnt loose. I doubt its leaking there either.

Thank you, Blue. If my memory serves me, you guys go 28 ft lbs on the girdle nuts on the 781BB? (and no shocker if I am way off, my memory sucks)
