Super Jet Do I need reinforcing for my style?

Hey guys I have a 90sj with a 701 61k in it. It has a b pipe and a girdled head at about 180 psi. It hasn't had any reinforcing done to it at all. I only ride flatwater so I was wondering if I need reinforcement. I am about 200 lbs if that makes a difference. I figured that if I do need it now would be a good time during the off season, but if I don't need it it will save me alot of time, money, and weight. Thanks.

You haven't told us anything about your style, despite the empty promise in the thread title.

If you're learning to roll and landing 3/4 rolls all the time, reinforce. If not, don't bother.

What Matt said. Should really only be an issue if you intend to start learning rolls. Those side landings can be an issue. Other than that keep it light and leave it alone.

Hahaha, haven't even done a nose stab yet. I just like to putz around and jump boat wakes, never had the ambition to do a roll, want to keep my head in one piece.

I didn't reenforce still I started learning rolls in cali surf. 20 rolls in I got a bunch of spider cracks around the hood lip. After around 100 I actually cracked all the way through in one spot.

It doesn't sound like you need any reenforcing at this stage or until you go bigger in my opinion.

Alrighty perfect. Good news for me, thanks guys. Is there any other reinforcement I should be concerned about, like handle pole? I am trying to get this as light as possible, so I may go to some type of carbon hybrid pole I am thinking up. Between that and laying off the cheezburgers it should make the total ride weight lighter. It still has stock sn pole.

Some Guys reenforce the pole bracket area and their pole... Its really up to you. I doubt you will need it by the way you say you ride.

I'd say your good. Just keep riding till you start getting a lot stress cracks. Once that happens you might want to consider reenforcing.

If you mod the stock bracket you can reuse it or try and find a hazard conversion bracket. As far as your steering setup it will all work as long as you get a pre 08' pole.
