i will be installing a greater yamaha head with higher compression, and a jetworks flow valve on my square.

do i need to run dual cooling or will single cooling be sufficient?

i have a stock 62t/61x dual 38's, r&d pipe (kinda looks like a coffman).

higher compression runs hotter and the gulf gets up to 91 degrees here in the Tampa area ...and if one line gets clogged the other saves a smoked or overheated motor....

so to go dual cooling do i need to install another line or just use the stock siphon line. I have one 500 gph pump. or can i t/y off of the single line coming in at the bulk head and run two off it. i have to pull my pump to put the hooker impeller from impros on soon.

i used the factory siphon line. if you t one line your not doing any good.
just add another bilge if you think you need it after removing the factory one.

im running dual cooling right now but wondring how hot is that water going to be coming out i know obviously hotter because its cooling the engine but i was riding the other day and put my hand under it and it was really hot. is that normal?

I changed my ski over from race fuel to pump gas. Now it seems the motor is running hot/hotter. Yes this motor is lightly ported with a Riva Dry pipe.
I shut it down after doing a plug chop and the motor was untouchable for more than a second. Maybe it was running this hot before I changed domes, (33 to 35cc's ada head) I dont know.

would the conversion make it run hotter?
I guess I will go add the dual cooling to be safe. I really dread removing that pipe.. Again!!!

tap the pump, add a second water line to the manifold and dump the front cylinder overboad is that all I have to do?

oh yea I looked at the plugs and they are fine, Im about 80% sure its not running lean.

that's my issue. do i just change over to my hooker impeller and do the dual cooling and head as a winter project? i have found out that jetski's are not the same as dirt bikes. i don't want to add dual cooling and the head during riding season. i am not sure if it will run properly if i tear it apart. i know the head and tapping for dual cooling isn't that big of a deal to some, but i don't want to screw it up and be skiless for a while.

I just did mine but it was a little different,I only had to drill and tap the pump.
