Super Jet Do i need a shorter steering and throttle cable if I have a shorter pole

Do I need to get shorter cables if I run like a -2 inch handle pole? Its a 2003 super jet and the pole would be stock and cut it down about 2 inchs and also run a shorter turn plate. Will a regular cable work or do I need to get a 2009 cable since their poles are already 2 inch shorter? What about the throttle cable as well?

Do they need to be adjusted at all or they will just work how they are?

just re route the excess inside the hull somewhere. I am at -7 with a stock length steering cable and a 750 sx throttle cable.
