Blaster dilemma.....HELP

so i had ordered sport class bars from blowsion for my blaster. they just told me they are back ordered for 2 months.

what kind of bars should i buy? anyone run protapers? if so which ones?

found the specs on the blowsion blaster bars, and im gonna buy Protaper SE schoolboy HIGH.

the protapers are close. i have all the measurements on the blowsion bars, and the protaper bars if anyone wants em.

any 7/8 bars will fit the blasters steering stem correct??

yep 7/8 is stock. so any 7/8 bars would fit.
and i believe its 2 1/2'' from center to center of clamps

thanks! i bought the protapers, and the clamp area is more than wide enough.... thanks for confirming for me!!

how much taller does the protaper's sit.
i was going to go with taller bars but i wonder how much harder it would be to sidemount in the surf.

the protapers i ordered are 3.46 inches tall.

the blowsions i was trying to order are 3.25 inches tall

i dont know what all this means in reference to stock bar height.

you can really get any height you want. all the bars on this page are 7/8's

the stock bars i measured are 1 1/2'' tall give or take a little if there not bent. and thats off the measurements on that site i used...
so you gained just about 2''

did you measure from the base to the crossbar or the base to the height of the grip?

the bars i bought are only 3.46 inches high from base to bar grip.

I put a set of wider, taller, fatbars, 1inch protapers on my blaster1.

I found it easier to sidemount with the wider, taller bars. I also cut the hump out of the seat as well.

the way i measured it was.. from the center of the bar thats clamped down i took a level and ran it to the end of the bar and measured from the level to center of the bar on the end and that will give you your hight

gotcha. im ok with an extra 2 inches in height. i doubt it will be noticeable.

2'' should be good so your not as hunched over while standing. i might pick up some taller bars my self and do what bruce said about the seat hump.

yeah. my blaster is red, and the lower hood piece has paint chipping. ill be painting the upper and lower hood pieces black over next winter and sending the seat to jettrim to have the hump shaved off and the seat covered in black too.

maybe a jetmaniac bigbore, and mag pump and trim over the winter also.

i got new ODI grips from jetmaniac here on the X, and got the bars from this guy http://myworld.ebay.com/seismiccycles/ on ebay.

25$ for the grips
58$ for the bars

im still in kandahar. ill get to install this stuff in a few weeks when i get home. i got a new cold fusion throttle lever, and im using the stock start/stop switch. i dont for see any problems.

What made you want to install this handlebar setup? I just got a wb1. I think I'm fine with my stock ones unless it breaks or something. Maybe I need to ride someones wb1 with the aftermarket handlebars.
