Super Jet Detecting Cavitation

This may seem nubish.
I know what cavitation feels like. I've had my prop refurbished, replaced the housing with new oem stock and aligned the pump the best I can.

I'm fairly pleased with my current performance. However, When towing a friend last weekend............I felt it.
Even at low RPM's.

I'm thinking of running without an intake grate just to see if it's an intake thing. Or, do they all cavitate when towing.

Or, am I chasing ghosts?

I'm all bolt-ons, but....a lot of 'em

the first post in this thread has just about everything I've done.

Look for an air leak and feel the inlet shoe where the grate bolts on. Its common for the bolts to poke through and make the pump vibrate all the time.
