I was running a very small 4.5lb battery from advance with my Superfreak hull. 860cc XS, High compression at 225PSI, TL, etc. Battery ran 4-5 tanks without any problems, which thats all you want with that flatwater ski.

On average, how many starts did you do in those 4-5 tanks?

I use a deka ETX15 and feel its a good compromise. 230 tested cranking amps, yet pretty light, about 2/3rd the size of a normal batt. I believe it weighs only 11 lbs.

That setup was in my Superfreak hull which is the ski I sold Larry. I would say at least 7-10 starts each tank. I would ride the ski all day long & not think about the battery. But I was also running a motor that always started right up, XS brap!!!

I run this same battery on all my Ski's!!!!!

Not running the bilge pump.

What kind of battery is it (brand/model)? If you're getting that kind of performance out of it, I should be plenty fine with it. I'd be happy with 7-10 starts a tank and 2 tanks of fuel. 8 gallons of gas is more than I'd be able to ride in a single day anyway.
