Super Jet Dead battery??

Location

I went for a ride and my ski ran great for 3-4 hrs. Didn't have any issues starting throughout the ride until right at the end, went to start it and the battery was dragging like it was dead. Jump started it off my buddies ski and it ran until I killed it then wouldn't start again. Got it home and put a fresh battery in and measured the voltage. 12.5 volts not running and it was the same voltage when I started it. I'm assuming there's an issue in the charging system. Where should I start testing? Does this sound like a stator?

I've got exactly the same problem with my ski at the moment, just dont get a spark and the bendix does not catch when turning it over. My charging coil has been checked and all is ok, they can give a good reading even if they're F**ked.

The bendix is the gearing between starter motor and flywheel. If the bendix is truly "not catching", then how do you know you're not getting spark? The engine has to turn over before you get any spark at all.

Well....if the starter is having trouble turning over the engine under compression, something in the starting system is borked. Could be the starter, battery, cables, or relay. Fix that first. You may have spark once that is working properly.
