Daytona?

Will anybody be out riding Daytona April 1st - April 6th? I am coming down there from Michigan for spring break and we are dragging my ski with us.
It will be my first time riding surf and or in Daytona. Any pointers? or tips? Maybe even rules!

Make sure you bring current registration paperwork, helmet, fire extinguisher, vest...
If you have scissor stand and beach kart they are nice to have but not essential.

If you arent used to having a ski in saltwater, then it can expose flaws in your coil wires and hood sealing. Freshwater doesnt conduct like our extra salty water and water ingestion in your motor isnt huge deal in fresh but will stall you out much easier in salt.

You can make up some saltwater and spray it all over your plug wires, ebox and battery then carefully start it up. Works best at night or under a blanket.

Most people out on the weekends, during the week is spotty.

I will be in Daytona this weekend. I may bring my ski if the forecast is halfway decent (Sunday and Monday) are they still checking for fire extinguishers religiously?
Can I just rig one in the engine compartment?

I would usually just bring it with in the truck and that was good enough.

looks like another weak cold front will be passing through during the weekend. So im going to guess hot with afternoon thunderstorms.
