Watchout for these bastards. We had a confirmed sighting 7 out of the 10days we were there in room 108... Always late at night. I slept great the entire trip until Legdragger kept telling me he was seeing them...LOL!! "Dont worry, there just Palmetto bugs".

Any other hotels around? The girlfriend does not like the state animal too much.... Coral Beach is booked up now. I know it's a bit last min.. Any suggestions?

there is like 500 hotels in daytona... use google earth and locate on near by.

Google earth is the poop! Staying at the comfort inn. 89 a night for an efficiency (military rate but other rates are close) that sleeps 5. And it is rated well (i could care less but the women do). Less then a half mile from the Makai. http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-ormond_beach-florida-FL448

Coral Beach has cancelations avalable. They even had water front for $75.00 a night!!

i had a room res. at the mai kai and i just called to verify and they had no record. and they said they were booked now i dont have a room. the coral is booked fri and sat. so im not sure what to do now. not very happy though they better not put anything on my card!!!!
