Daytona, best moment/worst moment thread

For me, best moment was just getting there and standing on the beach friday morning as planned. A little dissapointed the surf clinic didn't happen, but not much movement at 9am.

Worst moment...Johnny's accident

Every year I meet more people. This year I was truly amazed at the number of people coming from literally every corner of the states & several out of country people. Too cool to have been a part of it, even if everyone calls me evil.

i love how many people come out from so many different (and really far away) places and i love meeting new peeps too!

and you are NOT evil in a bad way Becky.....only a good evil LOL

definitely worst moment was Johnny's accident, but at least he's doing ok =]

best - Too many killer moments to say one was my best.

worst - Havell's injury - worst moment for sure. I am glad he is doing well, and am looking forward to seeing him back out in the surf rippin shiot up.

Funniest - E Roc Wilbs pretty much all friday night.

Craziest - Carrying Xeon's hot drunken girlfriend out of Aqua Saturday night.

All in all, I totally love the entire experience and enjoyed putting faces with screen names. I wish I would have been able to meet more of ya...

Well I can't discuss the best moment in mixed company but the worst moment was Sunday morning when I had to pack up and leave.

best moment has got to be: men in wet suits "hot"- but the hole scene in general was awesome....
Worst: coming home to snow....ugh...and leaving the lovely Daytona area!

Best- getting there in our winter cloths , not even stopping at the hotel... quickly changing on the beach and being the first 5 to ride.

bad- me having a broken ski most of the time

bad - watching havell get hurt

and bad - getting way tooo intoxicated on saturday night

MCdonalds apple pie shots make me sick to think about


and the shatty... being here in single didget cold snowey weather

I think its fair to say seeing John get hurt was the worst moment for everyone. I guess I was thinking more along an individual level when I started this thread. At times, my worst moments were when I couldn't find a ride, wishing I just shipped my ski out.

Dude if it wasn't for you I would never know what they were. I feel a little guilty though getting you guys those shots cause everyone was messed up from em lol. Had a good time that night dude. I'll be up for your ride in June with pancaker.

that's funny as hell... i think i bought them about 4 or 5 rounds of them as well... no wonder Sarah was so f'd up.

Best = Shreddin' waves after not riding for over 2 months :headbang:

Worst = Getting home and realizing I won't be riding for another 2 months now :banghead:


It was really cool to ride with alot of different peeps and see everyone's riding styles (although, Sat and Sun was crazy and required eyes in the back your head). It's amazing how different styles evolve from different areas of the country and it's all good! It's really cool to see standup skis survive the sitdown years and still thrive so well.

Yeah Justin aka mad scientist was going to introduce us but we could not find you at that moment,I did not get to bring my x2,trust me you will know it when you see it,There is no other one like it thats for sure.Just look for the X2 with the seadoo engine,rear exhaust camel hump seat , modded left trim cover,and footholds.

Best/ nice weather, nice people, fun watching everyone ride.
Worst/ driving 16 hrs getting out sat morning at about 11:00 and breaking my foot in the first 30 mins. Go to emergency room at noon spent the rest of the afternoon in the emergency room and then the next week on the couch with my foot up. Surgery last Tuesday (1-22) to fix two brakes in the bone that goes to the big toe on my right foot. Freak accident, fell in the surf close to shore as I was getting back on the ski a wave picked up the front of the ski and smashed my foot between the back rail of the ski and the sand. I will be on crutches for 4 weeks and I was not even jumping waves at the moment I got hurt. I will be back next year to try it again.

Worst/ driving 16 hrs getting out sat morning at about 11:00 and breaking my foot in the first 30 mins. Go to emergency room at noon spent the rest of the afternoon in the emergency room and then the next week on the couch with my foot up. No kidding, even small shore break is bad news. My buddy tried jumping into a 6 foot shorebreak on vacation (not sure why), thought it would be fun. The wave slammed him into the sand and dislocated his shoulder, he's been layed off work for the next 4-6 months. Told me he had no idea that the waves would be that powerfull...........:Eyecrazy:
