So the other night Dave says my X2 is not finished because it is too loud.this gets me thinking,as I have never met or been in close proximity of Dave how does he know how loud my ski is.The only conclusion I could come up with is that my ski is so damn loud that when I run it Dave can hear it all the way in Huntsville.Well obviously that is too loud so something must be done.I pulled the pump drilled and tapped it for two more cooling fittings. Thanks Kawi for putting the extra bosses exactly where I needed them. Then I ran both cooling lines into the stock Seadoo line using a T fitting off of a Kawi 750 head.I then drilled a hole through my rear exhaust at an angle and installed a tube into the pump cavity, now I hooked that up to one of the fittings that I previously installed, then to top it off I added a dirverter to the rear exit.So I guess that means this build is officially finished right.:nana:

I like it. Have you run it yet? I'd be leary of getting scraped by the diverter, but I bet that thing is quiet as heck. What made you use two lines off the pump? Do you think that might cause any degradation of performance? Oh...and about Dave saying your X2 is too loud....he says he hears it when he is dreaming.

Looks like I started doing the bodywork in Jan of 2007,the Left side had been crushed and halfazz repaired by someone else before I got it.That really had nothing to do with the build though,as I had robbed the engine out of it to go in a Sportscruiser that I built and sold, the actual build with the 720 engine configuration started in Nov-Dec of 2007.

I purchased the 800 engine on 2/26/8 it took a week to get it. I could give you a list of everything I bought, how much it cost, and when it was purchased. But it isn't important. It is my build, I will get it done, when I get it done.

As always. I spent some major $$$ on ski parts in the past 4 months. I am a little strapped right now. I wasn't sure if I was going ot be employed after the end of May as well so that put a little bit of a hiatus in spending as well. To each his own. You just like rattling cages. I went riding today and now my body hurts. It has been a few weeks since my last ride.

Man i PM'd him about buying a prop from and never got any response back. I emailed Skat Trak because I burnt 20 some cell phone mins waiting to talk to Glen. Then Kevin from Leg Drag was supposed ot call me back two weeks ago and never did. I guess people don't like selling parts huh?

That is cool you got your parts all ready to go. Main thing I need for mine is a Skat Mag Prop, TBM Stuffer, and then some custom made things like electrics mounting plate, small gel cell for under the seat, water fitting welded to my chamber's stinger, my two 750 SX intake grate cut down and re welded, well welded, I can cut them, 650 pump shoe cut off of a junk pump I have, ect.

You would be a huge help if you posted a picture of your under teh seat battery set up. I also would like to see where you drilled the holes through the bulk head for the calbes too. Speaking of which... I need to call JSS and get some cables made, I have an MSD quick sonnector for them :) You know the usual stuff...

I will post up a pic sometime,a YTX 14 is what I think is in there,it sits flat with the terminals sticking up,I used a hole saw and cut a fairly large hole then ran a piece of stainless tubing through the hole for the cables to run through.

I was trying to get a 650 SX that hadn't run for a year to run last weekend. Some gas was spilled in the engine compartment. Before I hit the starter I thought of you and said "Is there a fire extinguisher handy?" YZPilot said "take that thing outside the garage, i don't want my house burning down."

Actually the only things that have broken so far were Kawi components except for the exhaust manifold bolt backing out,the threads were weak on that manifold when I put it on though.I think you are actually going to be surprised how reliable this thing is when its completely done.:headbang:

You get the air/fuel ratio right inside the engine compartment and boom!

Yesterday I knew gas was about to go up in cost and I needed to fill up my truck. I poured out about 2 to 3 galons of mixed gas into an old X2 gas tank I had so I could use the can. Then I headed to the gas station to fill up three 5 gallon cans and my truck. YZ and I were going riding so I grabbed teh X2 gas tank and headed off. My ski had a full tank and I had half a tank in the old X2 tank. Now I did screw a gas cap on it, and I had a filler neck, rubber hose, and cgas cap on the other end. But I forgot to tighten it down. Needless to say one sharp turn and the filler neck popped off and fill the bed of my truck with a bunch of gas. So instead of saving money by buying 15 gallons of spare gas, I wasted 3 gallons... All it would have taken was a spark to torch up my truck...

Then at the river, that same 650 SX was leaking gas from a bad one way valve, and a few fuel ines we didn't zip ty back up. Luckily i had my siphon pump handy and I filled up 4 or 5 Mountain Dew bottles and old beer bottles with nasty grimey gasoline & water from teh bottom of the hull. But hey, we got it running and the boy who owned it had fun out on the water yesterday. Me... I am feeling beat up and out of shape today!
