Daul 44's

I have a set of mikuni 44's and an oem manifold. Is there any disadvantage to using the 44's with that stock adapter plate on the bottom of it so it bolts to the oem manifold; any disadvantage of a oem manifold over an aftermarket? Or is it all soo minor that i shouldnt even worry about it?

Ok ideally this will be my setup, but we'll see what I have by spring.
Daul 44's, B-pipe with a blaster chamber if I can get one, ADA Head, if I have enough left then some porting by Paul, I'm refoaming and reenforcing within the next couple of weeks. Dunno what prop I'm gonna run yet, still got to do my homework on that one. Its gonna be in a square because thats what I have right now and I'm putting a roundnose pole on that, I'm gonna make a bracket for it, and I'm in the process off doing the squarenose hood mod. Gonna do a scupper and i havent decided on footholds yet. GOnna try to make it to a couple freerides this year with my cousin.

why
you are do nothing radiacal
if your ski is unreliable then it will be from the mechanic not the parts
you have a good collection of parts going on there

I think it would be very difficult to remove your carbs with an aftermarket manifold. Hard to get at the bolts. Is the intake tract shorter on the aftermarket intake? Wouldn't that give you better throttle response if it is?

I break stuff
I was told by Paul at JrMagoos to use the stock intake with the spacer for 2 reasons. More torque cause its longer and it will make the reeds last longer. Delta II's a pricey!!!
Unfortunatley I can't use the stock 44 intake with the Able cylinder cuase of clearance issues, so I went with the r&d. Just make sure you get one with a crossover tube if you are freestyle/freeriding.

Is the crossover tube already machined into the stock manifolds that do have the crossover or if it doesnt have one will I have to make one?

Everything is correct but the crossover tube. What I stated was to epoxy the OEM manifolds cross over tube shut. You don't want to have the "pull" thru the tube. It reduces signal strength from the carb, thus a muddy bottom end responce.

Does anyone know who makes this intake manifold in the picture below?

It doesn’t seem to have the crossover tube incorporated.

This setup was on eBay about a month ago. I contacted the seller, but he said that he was not sure who made the intake manifold. It hasn’t been filled or modified, the reed spacer plate was not on it, and it was purple in color for dual 38’s that came off his blaster.
