I leave tomorrow around 1, less than 20 hours from now, and I'm just now trying to bake some fiberglass.

65W floodlight + my wife's old hair dryer and a makeshift 'tent'. We'll see...

BTW, this is Daytona damage which was from previous damage years ago that I never repaired properly. This is going to be a somewhat permanent repair...

Yep, I started YESTERDAY, instead of last month or any time since Daytona. Go figure.

As long as it's somewhat functional, that's all I care about. I have 5 layers of 15 ounce biaxial so far, and based on the temperature/cure time, that's probably all I'll get.

I've found when using epoxy resin (West Systems) that if you give it too much heat initially, it goes soft and rubbery, and never really cures properly..

I'm sure you've done plenty like this before, but it might be something to be aware of if your cure times seeming to be going up.

I have been working my a$$ off trying to get my stuff together. My buddy is lending me his hull so I can put my motor and driveline in it. Got it all buttoned up about 2 hours ago, took it to the river and the ski will not go anywhere!! :banghead: Bad pump seal I guess b/c it seriously would not even snal along. If you blip the throttle it gets even worse. I think I ahve anouther seal somewhere. The one I put in came off his old pump and was pretty crappy......

Yeah, that ski was painted by Chris Maros of 24/7. My buddy bought it from hiim years ago. Full carbon hood ect.. Sweet boat but it has seen better days. Paint is chipping is spots but Maros built it tought. Little TLC and it will be sweet. He is achually putting a WDK 1200cc monster in there :arms:
