cutting a hydro turf pad

i need to cut down a 1'' hydro turf pad, but i want to cut it perfectly..so what do you think i should use?

i cut a little part off with just a hacksaw blade, it cut real well but it was to rough looking when finished

I used a real fresh sharp razor blade with a sawing motion. Worked alright. Took more than one pass though.

are you saying you want to cut a piece out of it? or "shave" it? i think youre talking about shaving it down to less than 1". if so, use an air angle die grinder with a 2" medium abrasive pad. i find it easier to grind after its been glued down.

no its more like cutting a piece out. the shaving down part worked real well.

Same here... then use some sand paper (or dremmel with sanding attachment) to smooth out any rough areas. The dremmel works great.

same here i just cut mine with 2 fresh blades . it seems to dull them quick

the key word here is FRESH. they get dull very quickly. i use many blades while turfing.
