Well, I can produce a replica of the SXIpro hull for under $2500 using fiberglass chopper gun manufacturing. No, it won't be as light as my carbon hull, but it would be very easy to modify. I'm thinking that at this point if someone wants to get one I would be willing to add reinforcement, footholds, tubbies, and a couple hand holds without much trouble.
A hull built this way will not have the same qualities as a WCF or a XTF, but at this price, I'm thinking of this more as a budget builders kit. I could ship the parts in a box, and the builder adds foam, scupper, hull extensions ( or resection) etc. I'd like to have some motor mount options, too.
And yes, I would like to build a superjet, too. At this time I am considdering it, but tooling costs may be an issue.
What do you all think of this?
