650/X-2 Custom carving rails..........

I have 93 650sx that takes corners like its flat tracking....... Im sure this has been done...or thought of before....I don't know why the picture is upside down.... but im thinking of putting fiberglass rails on the bottom of the hull...maybe on the back half of the ski, and 1" to 2" deep.

They would run half the lenght of the ski, tappering down at the front. ....well you can see from the pic... I could help it corner....or it might cause it not to turn at all!!

Any thoughts???

Get a finned ride plate

This is what I was thinking. We have a finned ride plate on one of ours 650s we're gonna yank, worse thing ever made. You can't turn worth a :):):):), and when you can, it randomly grabs and throws you. Doesn't even help at high speed since your bouncing around but the thing is just stuck on course so you can't maneuver well or keep it centered under your weight.

I have an Ocean Pro finned ride plate. $80 shipped or $70 in Daytona. PM if interested.

I think sponsons are usually attached to the bond rail, instead of the hull.

Any fin that hangs lower than the edge will create a delta which makes the hull even more tippy. Plus The hull will always catch and highside in turns. Add material to lower the strakes for more lateral grip. Tubbies help hold the ski on edge at higher speeds.
