Was just curious because I recently thought about using a hitch mounted cargo carrier I have. Has anyone seen anyone do this and if anyone else has any bright ideas besides cramming itside or a bed or a truck.

I've got a hitch hauler and it's sweet! If you're going to the ocean, you definitely need a beach cart. Otherwise, back that sucker all the way into the water and slide the ski off. Just make sure the ramp isn't sandy and you'll be fine with just 2 wheel drive.
I put mine in the back of my truck I built a ramp that is basically to 2x4s parrel to each other with casters that the ski can roll up on, that connects to 2 more parrel 2x4s with pvc piping that sits in the truck bed, I ratchet stap that onto the truck bed and have a hand winch for when Im to tired from riding to push the ski up into the truck, works slick and I can load/unload the ski by myself.
I dont have any pictures but we used to put my SJ in a back of Dodge Caravan, with alll the seats except the front to removed.. Worked great, well kinda.
