Crankshaft - bearing not completely quiet- bad? or not?.... video

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I had this shaft inspected at a pro shop 2 years ago and it hasnt been run since... inspection results were ok from the shop... I personally just did an inspection with calipers, dial indicators, and feeler gage and checked tolerances... all good...

BUT 2 bearings are not completely quiet.... trying to figure out if it is something to be concerned with -as I sold it to a guy already that got worried... still have to refund him the $$ as I just got it back in the mail today... but if this crank is an ok used crank I would like to sell to someone else...

See bearing video and see if you can tell... its pretty darn close to the actual sound quality... pay attention to the 3rd bearing in the middle and the coupler side

If I press on those 2 bearings it is rougher than the others... the others are 100% smooth... those 2 bearings feel like maybe a couple specs of something got in them... maybe that means they're bad? wish I knew more about bearings... maybe a couple specs of crap got in there during packaging or when it was on the shelf?

By the way- if the guy I sold the crank to reads this- you will get your money back either way man... so dont worry... will refund tomorrow at work.

you could try to soak in oil , spin them and clean them out
but if they remain rough after that i would be worried, btw
i finished the hood yesterday and put graphics on
works well man
thanks

Take a can of WD-40 and use the pee tube on it and hose the crap out of them to give them a good flushing while spinning them like SKI4 is saying. They might just have debris in them. Roller bearing's just like needle bearing's have an outside hardening and it crack's and start's to break loose as soon as that start's to happen they are junk, if after you flush it real good and it still feel's growley it's toast.
