Well, second ride in a row where my ski is hydrolocked with fuel. I discovered it the first time and thought I had flushed it incorrectly but this time I tried to fire it up after sitting at the launch for a bit and it did the same thing.

I guess I'm pulling my carbs this week, any suggestions of what I'm looking for? Something stuck in my needle and seat? Blown one way valve?

I just bought some new used carbs for my gp1200 because I could never keep it from doing the same thing. Full rebuilds in all three carbs. I just gave up. I couldn't bring myself to tear into them a third time.

Were they WSM or Mikuni? What gas did you run? It could just be something stuck in them. Blow in your fuel pickup line till all the fuel is purged out. THen pinch off the return and blow in. If you can blow air into it a needle & seat is open or bad. If you have a pop off tester or pump use that instead.

Don't forget to check the spring arm to make sure it doesn't stick up far enough for the diaphram to open your needle when the carb is assembled.

They are Taper bored Mikuni 38's. I run 93 Octane pump gas from Kangaroo, (may have up to 10% ethanol).

Good idea on the pop off tester, My pop-off is set around 25lbs, What if my fuel tank pressure gets over than when sitting out in the sun and is enough to unseat them?

I have had a defective bulb primer that would allow fuel to flow through at all times. Primer was tied into my reserve line. So when my tank pressurized, it forced fuel straight into my carbs and flooded the engine.

Your fuel tank only holds around 3psi if the check valve is working correctly.

Now that faulty primer sounds more plausable than bad n&s, and easier to check too.

The super jets only have a one way check valve in the tank. You would have to put in a relief valve like sea doos have if you want to limit tank pressure. Normally this is not aproblem unless you are below 20 psi. I would remove carbs and inspect if there is a reason the needle and seats are sticking. It could be urethane lines that are old or varnished fuel at one time. It could be something preventing a good seal on the seat. Check with pop pressure after verifying that the seat is free to check for leaks at the seat or even the oring around the seats.
