Craigslist People

i just listed my 94 sj hull on craigslist for $150. i made sure it said hull not ski. a few minutes after i posted it i got a call from some guy that barely speaks english. his first question was, "does it run good?" i just laughed and told him no its a hull it has no motor, but he still sounded confused. he thought he had found the deal of a lifetime.

I was selling a 650sx hull at swap meet once. I had maked for $75 bucks. A new person would stop about every 5 mins and ask if it ran. It was funny for the 1st few hrs. Than I put a big sign- NO MOTOR- NO RUN- STILL CHEAP. It sold by the end of the day for $20 bucks

no hating. i just felt bad for the guy because he thought he was getting a really good deal. i think he was really confused when i said it is just a hull.

I sold my golf cart on CL last week. listed it for $2500 OBO

one guy in his first email said "I got $1900" (I'm happy for you)

another lady said she was looking for a project for her kids and would I take $1200

um, no.

some odd people patrolling CL for sure.

Yeah, ask BQM about some of his conversations with CL people. And hey, what are you doing on the computer anyway? Shouldn't you be on the road?

rule- dont put your phone number on the ad. people see a phone number and a price and call without reading anything else because people are usually very, very stupid.

i have people lowball me, send me JUST a phone number, offer me ridiculous items for trade, want to make payment plans, ask stupid questions that are already answered in the ad...... ridiculous crap!

however, i think its better to filter the interested people, from the idiots, through email vs phone.

craigslist is a great thing. f ebay!

CL is free, that's why you get all the idiots.
I have listed and sold many things from musical gear, furniture, cars, jetskis, etc.... through CL.
I have also bought some items.
It is best not to leave your phone# if you can't handle the stupids or if you have no phone skills, however, all it takes is one call.........from the right buyer.
