Okay, my brother and a friend have a 1996 XP 800 in a box. It is completely disassembled. I think it is worth more parted out and he thinks more together, running. Here is what it has:

Aftermarket Factory Pipe: in great condition
Seadoo 800 motor. BRAND NEW, never Ran.

Giant Mikuni Carbs and and a badass aluminum aftermarket intake manifold. I'll get pics, but I think they are 48s.
Rebuilt pump with new wear ring and a brand new Solas Impeller
Good hull. No cracks primed for paint.
Perfect looking electrical box with aftermarket ignition
R&D intake Grate

All the rest of the ski is there and in good condition.

What do you think these parts are worth that I listed?

So here is the question, build or sell parts????

I dont know about where you're from but where im from you would have a hard time getting more than 15-1800 for that setup assembled i say part it

You should be able to part and sell most of the stuff, like stagesrt4 said the pipe, motor, intake grate, ebox, prop, will sell and probably for those prices. but I am pretty sure you'll be left with a hull and a bunch of other parts that will not sell or will be worth pennies.
Build it, enjoy it, and then sell the whole thing at once just my .02

Depending are where you are XP's in good working condition go for around 2000-2200 where I am.

I have bought some of these old race yellow XP's and always have good luck parting them out. Make around 33% more than selling together as a whole, just the pain of shipping, plus yours is already apart...
All the OEM parts sell well too, but the A/M parts sell like hot cakes. Unless you want to keep it and use it and then sell it later down the road i would part it IMO.
