I went ahead and layed up a few layers of glass over the exhaust outlet on the right side. Pretty simple stuff right now.

Im unsure of what im gonna do for exhaust with the new setup. Any ideas?

Got some more glassing done. I got the left side piece glassed back on from the inside tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the outside and the inside of the right. And possible the outside. I may be crazy but i love doing this work :bananajump:

Also is a pic of the tray setup i plan to use.
Black- Scupper
1 Red- Cooling line and the other is a trim tube
Yellow- Steering Cable
Blue- Cooling line 2
Green- Rear side exhaust.

Im pretty sure this is how it will go, anybody got any suggestions?

Yes, take the 'blue' cooling line and have it come out where the red one does. Your pipe and exhaust manifold inlets are on that side, so why would you want your cooling line coming through the bulkhead on the carb side? That's one of the things I wish I did different when I built my hull.

Put the exhaust outlet as far back and closer to the bondline as you can. I get a little cavitation sometimes from exhaust getting sucked in on left hand slides/etc.

So id want all three tubes coming out on the left side of the bulkhead? And the steering cable on the right?

What can i use for the cooling lines to go between the pump area and the bulkhead? The stock ones are trashed..

copper or stainless lines work well (no corrosion)

match the factory
I think 3/8 would work for copper
but stainless will have thicker walls and you may have to go up a size

Other way around, stainless is typically thinner wall than copper or aluminum.

mcmaster.com has tons of tubing that will work.

UPS Women finnaly showed up with some goodies for me. Us composites order with some epoxy and glass. I glassed the right side from the inside and started building back the left side where it was cut short. That was the most difficult part on this project so far. We shall see tonight how it turned out.

I used a styrofoam piece with wax paper and tape to keep it all together and the shape i wanted and it was a bitch to get to stay there:rant: but i think i got it. There is a damn air bubble in the glass toward the bottom that i couldnt get it but ill just grind it out i think.

Total cost: 156.25 with the US Composite order.

And i just discovered that i need a pump shoes :grumble:

Next will be building the right side and glassing the outside of the left back together. So im hoping 3 more glass sessions to finish the back.

Session 1- Rebuild right top and a couple more layers on the inside or the right.

Session 2- flip the bitch over and do the outsides of the area i rebuilt both right and left.

Session 3- Outsides of the seems where i glassed the insides together.

Then ill begin routing cooling lines, scuppers, and other misc. things.

Its not that hard and isnt a lot of money depending on which top deck you get and other products.

If i do it it will be an experiance for sure. Im a newbie to glass with limited experiance with it but i could figure it out. i have someone that could probably help me out for free though that works on fiberglass for boats for a living.
What do you think is a ballpark budget for something like this with a midrange priced topdeck? $2000?
