I'd appreciate some insight too! Lots of old info that is either incomplete or not well explained. While I realize this is a 101 topic and old hat to many - us who are new to standup and the 701 SJ world don't have a clue of basic stuff like cooling options - various options, benefits or drawbacks, how to tune the cooling variations, ect.

Anyone willing to do a good write-up?

Give me a little more on your setup? Happy to make comment and suggestions!

00' rn with Ada head (180psi), b pipe (how can I tell if its limited or mod when installed?), dual 38's. Was told it's setup for dual cooling but currently has single. Flush kit run into forwardmost port on head.
What else can I tell ya'?

Duel cooling is a must in Fla! Tap pump and use siphon line for second cooling line.
Run lines to bottom os FPP ex manifold (might have to tap second port). Exit motor on head.
Rear head outlet to overboard. Front head outlet to bottom of FPP head pipe. Exit top off headpipe, to “T” fitting.
Across top of T to overboard. Down leg of T to chamber stinger. Before stinger can either add Flow control valve or 2mm restrictor.
Headpipe water setting for FS/FR are Top, 1/2-5/8 turn open
Middle 1/4-3/8 turn open, bottom closed Experiment here to your personal preference?

This is a std for most 701 packges out there. There is also a cooling known as parallel cooling wich has one line cool motor, the second cool exhaust. This works great for certain setups, but Not for everyone!

Hope this helps you?

Ski ya, Paul

i changed it to this, after looking at some images on the gargaler. leave it how it is now?

Thanks! Looks like I have a little plumbing to do, also have to fix the screws on my pipe (got the kit to drill and tap). Thanks for the clear explanation!
