650/X-2 Cooling problem

My 1989 Kawasaki 650sx runs great but the problem is that the head and exhaust get really hot and water from the pisser is hot as well. When I flush it out everything is warm not hot but when I put it in the river everything is hot.

Engine should be warm enough to put hand on for a few seconds before it gets too hot. If you pour some water on and it sizzles you have problems. And yes, cooling water comes out hot after going threw the engine.
