Super Jet Cooling line restrictors??

I was wondering when or if I should run restrictors on my SJ. The surf temp is around 55 degrees, 54 right this moment according to the latest observation, should get up to about 58 tomrrrow. I'm running a dual cooled engine (both cooling lines to manifold) w/ a blowsion head (the front outlet to pisser and rear to bottom of head pipe), 33cc domes, b pipe, ported cases and cylinders, and the water temp coming out of the pisser feels pretty warm, but doesn't really burn you if you feel it. I ran it the other day just fine but this latest cold front has dropped the water temp to about as cold as it gets down here.

At that temp you will likely have to restrict both pissers.

I was just thinking I have some 1/4 inner diameter line for my backwards flush kit and could stick sections of that that in the pissers since they are both straight. That should do it, going to bring a thermometer with me too and check the temp of the outlet.

Chucky recommended me to restrict my Baby Scream on the inlet side, before the manifold. At 5,5 mm. I have the same cooling setup as you do.

i use one of those adjustable flow valves in the winter to keep my motor running hot. I only restrict my motor's flow and run it up to my hand warmers. pretty easy to tell how your motors' temp vary with throttle/pump rpms.

I run two of the Jetworks QD restrictors, both at the head outlets. I personally think that's better than restricting the cooling flow INTO the engine , but every builder has their own preferences.
I use all three insert sizes throughout the year, for water temps 32-70 degrees.
