Cooling Issue - where to start?

Guys,

My 750sx is running really HOT. I mean if I splashed water on the engine I think it would sizzle. I have a steady stream of water coming out of the pisser but the ski is hot as h3ll when I am done riding. Obviously I stopped riding it until this issue is fixed but I have no idea where to begin.

Thanks to this site and the "old site" I've learned a lot about my skis over the past 3 years. So I am hoping to learn a lot from fixing this but right now I know NOTHING about the cooling system. Any help would greatly appreciated!

Where do I start???????

Thanks guys.

i would start by pulling off the cooling lines and trying to blow though them, you may have a partial blockage some where, some shells or something?? then if that is ok move on to something else

That is actually one thing I did. I (probably a bad idea) used an air compressor just to make sure anything was blown out. I did notice that the water flow out of the pisser increased a little bit after this but its still running really hot. When I blew air through, I could hear it echoing inside the engine (or wherever it goes) pretty nicely, so I didn't think there was a blockage. Then again, I know nothing about the cooling system so I could be waaaaay off.

i would blow actually, it's easier to tell if there is resistance using man power on this. then maybe start taking off fittings and see if there is anything stuck in them. klike the 90 degree fitting on the head etc, also look in the pump where the water inlet is and see if you can see anything stuck in it
