So a couple Summers ago, Dollar Bill brought his SJ up to Lake Lanier to do some stupid stuff; the least of which was letting me ride it. After about 20-30 minutes I was able to get up (most of the time), but I still had some trouble with the ever so difficult left turn.
That little demo session was pre-LASIK and during Riot Ride. Now that I can see and I don't have 100+ other skis zipping past me, I would like to try my luck at it again. From talking to Bill and reading through this board it appears a SJ is the way to go. However before I drop that kind of money (and have to explain to my wife why I bought a toy I can't ride), I would like to see if it is something I might eventually get better at.
With that in mind is there anyone that might be willing to watch a newbie swim after their ski for a while? I just moved to the LKN area, but I also spend time on Boone Lake in TN.
**Mods, I'm new to the board so if this thread belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it.**
