consfuses me...what pipes can I get for my 62T/62T motor for my SJ>????

What size bolt holes does the cylinder have? I used a 62T big bore cylinder once and used 8 x1.25 heli-coils as inserts to make them 8mm holes. then I used a 650 b-pipe that I gasket matched with a grinder to the 62T exhaust gasket.

you can always drill out the exhaust manifold holes. I actually fit an OEM 61x exhaust on a 62t cylinder (as long as you use the 61x head) and it works great !

Look for a good deal. Either can be made to fit.

Just to summarize what's already posted above;
- 61X cylinder has 8mm threads,
- 62T cylinder has 10mm threads,
- Helicoil a 62T cylinder down to work with a 61X manifold
- Drill out the 61X Manifold to fit on a 62T Cylinder.

*** When you go to buy mainifold gaskets make sure you get the ones with the right sized bolt holes though. Manifold gaskets have a steel meddle layer that likes to snag the bit.

thanks! thats what I needed!

is there a better pipe for the 62t? or will they all work the same regardless of the cylinder?

The Coffman Sizzler pipe is a nice pipe too and is usually cheaper. It's bulletproof so it's a good pipe to have on a backup ski...I mean your Gf's ski. ;)
