I think Lenzi has every right to be pissed. They should make Pro freestle unlimited mods and be done with it. Was Malone riding his boat or did they just overlook it as always

Lenzi got smoked last year, how do you expect to win pro freestyle when you nose stab bottom? What was so illegal about Erics boat? It was a Polaris painted with his new Kawi sponsors colors, thats not illegal.
It's not even close to a Polaris Octane. Then again, Lenzi's ski is nowhere close to a SJ either.

I can tell you guys Eric busted his ass to win this world championships with minimal support. His dad own a little powersports shop in the small town of Duncansville and they pretty much do all there own work. Eric works his butt off everyday, not only on his ski, but physical training. I know last year he acually cut 20 pounds of body weight just prior to the World finals just like he used to do in wrestling to reduce weight on the ski.
As for last year I was there right in the middle of it and can tell you that his ski was totally legal according to the rules. They tried to DQ him on the rear tuff on his ski, acually had nothing to do with the motor. the DQ got so technical that it acually came down to a vote of the riders. This 2005 motor was Exactly the same motor as 2004. Eric always contacts the IJSBA prior to his set ups to make sure he is within the rules too.
Please note that the Pro Freestyle class runs under the Modified Class unless specified in the Freestyle Events category

9.3.2 CRANKCASSES MAY BE INTERCHANGED BETWEEN THE SAME MANUFACTURER. THE CRANKCASSES MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE of MANUFACTURER.
In section, 9.2.2
Pro Freestyle ONLY: The top deck of freestyle craft may be modified or aftermarket, providing the following: The top deck must RESEMBLE the ORIGINAL TOP DECK OF THE HOMOLOGATED WATERCRAFT.

Thanks for that info Tommy............Eric is the man and we all knew he was going to have some stiff competition this year. The thing that really impressed me with Malone is that is is not just a rider but a builder as well. he knows how to make the boat perform the way he wants it too. He has madd skills in both areas and his world championships reflect that. Eric is the man :hail: :woot: Pretty humble guy as well

The EME is a Polaris bottom copy and and his own top deck made to resemble the SXR(within IJSBA specs). All carbon fiber.
I got a first hand showing with the reps of the EME today, and this is the info that they told me. Got great up close pics of the engine compartment today too.
