Just buy the wire off John and replace them yourself.

You will need to make one of these then the wire install takes no time at all.

Yes the tube is hollow like a long mini hole saw. It does not come in contact with the spike inside the coil it just pulls the wire out.

You can buy the 7mm wire (or is it 8mm) from any NAPA autoparts store, same stuff, made by Beldin. I have one I redid about 4 years ago that is still kicking.

Did you glue/silicone them in? I have an extra coil that I have done the ream job on but haven't replaced the wires yet.
For next time I am also interested in what stock was used to make the T-handle tool. I used a piece of one of those cheapo telescoping magnetic pickup things. It worked fine but the material was very thin and was breaking apart by the time I finished.

cannot remember if I used shoe-goo or 2 part epoxy.

I bought the msd wires with terminals and boots already on figuring I just unscrewed the old ones and screwed on the new. I started digging at the coil but couldn't do it. I'd risk trying it in the winter but I only get a four month riding season I can't risk being down waiting on parts. Besides, that msd enhanced coil sounds pretty sweet. Coupled with an enhancer ignition it's gotta be worth some HP.

Let me save you some money right there.
The MSD enhanced coils are worthless garbage.
The MSD enhancer itself isn't too bad, provided you don't pay more than 50 bucks for it.

Other than that, stick with a stock coil and a modded stock CDI.

Matt is right on! MSD Coils are JUNK! No KV firepower and will cause your ski to run very bad!
