Coffman's Sizzler, Speedwerx Race Version - Timing advance

I have both of these pipes and have been debating on which pipe to focus on. I am currently running the Speedwerx but am considering changing to the Coffman's for a spell and see how I like it. I have read on one or two different posts that the Coffman's can be quite competitive to the Werx other than equal or stronger throttle response (depending on how you set it up) and a loss of top end which I don't really need much of anyway. Most of my riding consists of short runs and freeride oriented freshwater surf. I love my Speedwerx but would just like to experiment. I have consulted one of the gurus of our ski time and was recommended to run the Sizzler for what I'm up to which holds a bunch of weight with me. So I thought I would ask the masses, have any of you compared the two pipes back to back? If so what was your impression? As for timing, has anyone advanced the timing on their stock electronics with a Speedwerx pipe? John at Speedwerx suggested not to do it, but it makes me wonder if anyone has? I would assume any small advances used on the Werx would only benefit the Sizzler as well but if not, then how's about some info on that? How many degrees advance have you had success with? Thanks for any thoughts and input.

You can advance your ignition with any pipe for better accelleration. However, your piston ring lands and rings would appreciate it if you pull back the timing to way below 20 deg.- (no, not Celsius) at high rpm. So, if you rotate your stator plate ccw about 3mm with a stock ignition, you'll see that tiny gain, but now you have 23 or 24 deg. advance at high rpm- where 15 or 16 would be preferred. As to pipes,- considerable gains may be had by getting the water injection into the exhaust stream just right.
However, being able to program an ignition would give you a huge gain on top of that. Further the affiant sayeth not.
