Ok

Still new to the SJ scene and learning things the hard way, I read in a thread toady the a pipe should never be mounted solid to the motor. When I bought my ski the pipe was mounted solid hence every mount hole location has been stripped. I don't even think the mounting bracket is the proper one.

So my question is....... How many different pipes did/does Coffmans make for the superjet and do they all mount the same? Does anybody know where i can get this rubber mount? Finally if there were many different models made could you please post a pic if u have one so I can determine which model I have.

thanks for the help!

No it doesn't look like that. It mounts above the head (actually beside) My pipe has a bracket that mounts to the side of the cylinders and one mount location using the bolt that holds the cylinders to the case. I think this is a home made job.

No it's not purple, Thanks for the help though. It looks like I may have to take a pic to post... it will have to wait until the weekend as the ski is up north at the cottage.

OK, First off thanks alot MOUTH for helpin a guy out. looks like the same mounting location anyways so I do have the right bracket. There are some steel washers on there now where there should be rubber, Doean anyone have any suggestions as to what I could use instead of the rubber mounts shown? Would a piece of hardwall exhaoust hose do the trick?

Any suggestion welcome

Thanks again!

call the coffmans ( Pam and Gary) they can fax you the instructions and mouting info for that pipe.

they did the same for me several years back for a rocket pipe for a 750 SX.

you have to call though, email wont work, and have a fax number ready, they are very helpful and freindly, but also very busy!

So I called Coffmans and they were very helpful, only problem is that they do not make that bracket anymore..... They did give me the part #'s for the rubber dampers and are faxing me the instructions. ANYBODY have an old mount bracket for this set up?????

whats wrong with the one you have?

is it really homemade?

or is it the right bracket that the holes are wobbled out on?

have someone weld some washer on it to align the holds back up?

the bracket I have has no rubber mounts therefore it is mounted solid to the motor. I really only need the rubber gaskets that absorbe the vibration. I think my best bet is to just put some rubber between the pipe and the mounting bracket, unless I can get on ethat already has the rubber mounts on it.
