Coffman sizzler 650 superjet waterbox connection

So I'm assuming I have to cut down the factory hose to waterbox to make this work?

Also, the brass nipple wants to be placed down to clear the hull and the gas tank?

Thanks in advance for any input!

After spending too much time researching, it looks like I was sold a stinger that is for a kawasaki (5 rib, not 3 rib). Is there anything I can do to make this work?

Ribs have nothing to do with whether it is for a Yamaha or Kawasaki. The rings are cut off ad a way to tune the pipe. Left long pipe will make more low end power. Cut short more top end power.

That makes since.

But why can't i fit the pipe with the nozzle up without contacting both the gas tank and the hull? It looks like the nozzle location is 180 from the other pictures I am seeing. Also, the coupler at the end of the stinger is useless... diameter is too small to fit anything on this thing.

I had everything bolted up, and the only way the stinger would fit is with the brass nozzle down at the bottom. Is that ok? Seems like cooling would be different

To do this the correct way
-Grind some ribs of sidewall to allow for more Stinger Clearance, Glue Hydroturf on now flat side wall to avoid rubbing and heat to sidewall.
-You will need to move the end of stinger in a position that water injection does not hit tank or walls, u need to extend your hose with a 90 Degree bend leading from that stinger into the water box at same time adapt from 1.5-2" to the water box 2.5"...
-Furthermore place a sheet of hydro turf between the Stinger and the Gas tank ( best glued on gas tank ) , and glue another piece of turf on bottom of stinger to avoid rubbing on engine mount...
-Make sure your ground cable is not squeezed underneath anywhere

Its all a tight fit but well worth it , great b- pipe alternative pipe

Great info.

Now I have perfect clearance (doesn't touch anything) if i rotate my stinger leaving the cooling line on the underside rather than the top. Can i run it this way? If i can, i think i would be fine if i cut down the factory hose leading from the factory sting to the waterbox.

Thoughts?

as long as the stinger outlet doesn't rub anywhere can be upside down wont matter , would defiantly T with flow control valve or restrict to 4 mm ...

get yourself an ADA head and bump compression then it will really make a noticeable difference
