waiting on your reply mike, I've got cad files ready...

I think Tom and I are going to finish our prototype so I can get on the water. it'll also help make sure the rest of the cad stuff I send you will be in good shape.

I really hope he was not trying to steal information and nobody sent the guy their CADD files.

sorry to be cynical, but it sounded fishy to me.
it's a very good idea for everyone to protect their designs.

I don't know exactly why mike backed out but I know better than to send out designs without an NDA.

It didn't happen to me but someone on this board did send a cad file to a very popular a/m ski company and now has no recourse once they start making parts from it.

any of you familiar with the older version of dwf viewer?
it will basically just show the model in 3d, but wont give dimension
unless you really know how to use it, and even then they are not accurate.
just something to think about in the future. the new version dim's out pretty good
i wouldnt want to use that if i was concerned about giving away to much.

Tim,
I haven't backed out, just been a little overloaded at the shop. I really hate it when I am expected to work.
I turned the NDA over to my attorney to draw up, as the one sent to me from your end was a bit over the top. I will see to it that he contacts you by email within the next few days. You have my cell number, feel free to call me anytime.

Mike.

Tim,
Nah, that was not pointed at anyone but myself, I mean when I am expected to work, as in do my part around the shop. I've been putting off some design work on two projects and it has finally caught up with me. There is still about two days of drawing and consulting and then I can go back to loafing.
Did Justin (attorney) get you on the phone yet? I spoke with him immediately after my last post and gave him your phone number.

Mike.

If you're talking about ski work, I'm not expecting you to do anything. We've had very productive conversations and happy to have had that time.

I think he meant that he would rather have his workers work, and him just run things, instead of himself having to actually work as well..... just an outsiders point of view. :D

jake,
We do a fair amount of anodizing currently. We are using a local company at the time, but always open minded. They do us well on basic colors, but deep blues and purples are a little sketchy. You got a website man?

Mike.

Hows the progress going on this project?

parts are made(roughly speaking, I mean really rough-j/k) working on assembly and fitting extra stuff that isn't usually there. hoping to water test this weekend or maybe by next. can't wait to see how it feels.
