my FX1

OPPS.....first time for everything i guess....

pump/prop all look fine....I killed the motor as soon as it started...

BUT now my water cooling line all throught the motor/bypass is half what it used to be and it shooting it out in small bursts....so some water is making it through but its not smooth and steady....

So..where does the water come into the ski for cooling? ...I removed my water line straight out the head and sprayed water into the head backwards thinking i could shoot the blockage back out....?? when water was going in backward i found the water goes into the ski around the intake grate area...which only make sence...but could not locate how it does it exactly??

HELP!??!

thanx

The cooling water goes from you pump to the head; out the exhaust, pisser, etc back to the water.

If you haven't yet, pull apart your pump. It should be fairly easy to do and good practice.

cooling water comes from the pump. If you look straight in, you will see the cooling line attatched to the side of the pump. Sounds like this might be where your blockage is.
Pretty easy to clean out. Try popping off that line in the engine compartment and blowing water backwards thru it.

i had and issue where the water pressure on my pisser was right down, after pulling everthing apart, there as a tiny peice of zebra mussle jammed inside the "t" on the hoses for the exhaust pipe stinger.

I have had to drill shells out of the brass 90's coming off the pump. Back flushing with water would not even make it budge.....

ya i use a beefy wire to plunge through in all directions. shells get super stuck in there and water isnt going to blow them out
