reread my post!!!!!! I'm not gonna go to war with you over your opinion. everyone has them, and you can be the only one who does not like this setup.won't bother me one bit.

I can understand why you are testy- I would be too if I missed Daytona and a chance to ride this ski again- its ok, I won't hold a grudge. :fing02:

LOL, that made me laugh........... It all good..........

I could have ridden one of them at Daytona 2006 had I asked!!!!!!!!

Honestly, would have been nice to have been there and seen alot of peeps, but I got something much better at home!!!!!!!!!! Maybe next year!!!!!

I buy you a beer.

Mark and anyone else who rode it, what most did you like about it? What could be improved or done differently? Suggestions, ideas etc. are welcome....

yeah I was hoping to get everyones overall impressions, good and bad.

bk you don't need to buy me a beer- I was just defending against getting boxed in.

remember back in the day when everyone said sxr's were too heavy to be freestyle or flatwater freestyle boats? I did it, guilty- we were wrong. it just took time for someone with skills and ballz to do it.

I figured out why the ski was not nose heavy for me compared to Bronson- I'm twice his weight!

I loved the fixed steering because I didn't have to work as hard to stay low and forward. I thought the steering was great, more would be better. The ski was very nimble on the front half and would stick well when you wanted it to. A dcut rideplate might help control the back half a lot better (low speed recovery, high speed slashing).

My only real complaint other than not being allowed to roll it :grumble: would be the hesitation on the bottom end - I'd get smashed in a wave or didn't have enough umpf to keep me in front of the wave a couple times.

This was the 2nd non-reinforced ski I rode this weekend and I am amazed at the weight and buoyancy difference compared to my tank :banghead:

Bronson... FL Cracker...only got few-
(Bronson kept ridin away from me or either got lost)

haha. I couldnt remember where I kept stumbiling across all these free rides :woot:

I am realy feeling the fixed steer! I feel like I can attack/slash waves much harder then with a pole.... I didnt want to send that none reinforced boat off any waves, though Im sure it will be great in that area as well.

Thursday I rode Pete Jacobs X2, and 10 minutes deep I started doing some rolls. :Banane25: I think the fixed steer Yamadog will be much more efortless.... His boat felt a bit heavy with not enough steering.... Still very fun to thrash surf with.

Thank you for the ride Reed! Once I get my fix steer done we need to get a ride going at Sebby!

BTW That third pick is pretty freggin sweet!

Thx Tom, you bet, next time we hook up! Nothing like the power you're used to, but she's a nice clean surf boat! Fixed steering is pretty cool. Ask Neil what he thought- he whored it! Missed ya in Daytona- sorry you couldn't make it.
