Actually, the name was chosen about five years before I opened my business, while I was still in the Air Force. For those of you that don't know (as if you really care
) I learned the trade in the Air Force. We used to joke with one another about what we would name our business' if we ever opened one. A friend of mine that was an A/C and Heating tech opened a business in Troy, Alabama called "Southern Comfort Heating and Air" after the name of a bottle of liquor. Catchy name, though.I still get people chuckling at the name when they see our trucks, most of them now are tourists visiting the area. When I first started, it was CRAZY the amount of attention I got because of the name---I believe that the name has helped my business grow because people have little problems remembering who we are. The first step is getting them to call, the second is doing a good job so that they call you back.
"Why Gamble With Anyone Else?" is our motto. :biggrin:
